A palpable buzz filled the hall at the Legacy Resort Hotel & Spa on November 15 as women from across San Diego gathered for the 5th Annual “She Is Worthy – Cover Me Right” summit. Launched by Lavada England and presented by House of Restoration Community Connections, the event offered an immersive afternoon of empowerment, recognition and sisterhood.

From the moment attendees entered the venue, the space felt intentional and uplifting. Elegant décor, welcoming registration, and an atmosphere of warmth set the tone. Conversation bubbled in every corner—women connecting, sharing, and preparing to be seen and heard in a way many seldom experience.

A highlight of the afternoon was a dynamic panel featuring three women and three men who shared candid accounts of healing, identity reclamation and financial empowerment. Their discussion—brave, authentic and generational—gave voice to journeys often hidden, and resonated with attendees young and older alike.

Another stand-out moment featured the “Cover Me Right: Walk in Confidence” showcase, where faith, fashion and personal narrative converged. Women stepped out in style, not merely to walk a stage but to mark their emergence—emerging healed, whole, and ready.

The awards segment of the day carried deep meaning. Women across ages were celebrated for embodying purpose, standing in strength, and refusing to shrink. The sense of recognition was grounded not in glamour but in truth—recognizing the unseen, the under-celebrated, and the powerful. Special guest artist Divine Okechukwu lent an operatic voice to the event, weaving in tones of resilience and dignity that lifted the entire gathering.

Beyond speeches and stage moments, the summit fostered intimacy and growth. Break-out sessions offered tools for brand building, mental health clarity, financial insight and self-image restoration. Meanwhile, the environment allowed for vulnerability—women didn’t just attend; they engaged, reflected, and connected. England, in her remarks, shared her personal narrative of once feeling invisible and now striving to make sure no woman felt that way again.

At event close, the energy lingered. Many left the room changed—some softly, some boldly—but changed nonetheless. For a movement now in its fifth year, the summit affirmed that this is more than a one-day meeting: it is a place of transformation, a network of support, and a declaration of worth.

As guests departed into the San Diego evening, conversations continued. “Are you coming next year?” was asked more than once—proof that what was built at this summit is already looking ahead. In a city rich with opportunity and need, the “She Is Worthy” movement stands as a purposeful moment for women to claim their value, amplify their voice, and walk confidently into what’s next.
